Amman, October 16, 2023: Zain Jordan organized a solidarity stand this morning in front of the company's building on King Abdullah II Street in the capital, Amman. This was done in support of the resilience of the people in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories facing the ongoing aggression for days.
The solidarity stand, attended by the CEO, executives, and all Zain employees, included a one-minute silence for the souls of the martyrs who lost their lives in the Gaza Strip and various beloved cities of Palestine. This gesture aimed to express solidarity and stand by the people amid the hardships they are facing during these challenging times. This initiative aligns with the unified Jordanian stance led by His Majesty King Abdullah II to support and stand in solidarity with Palestine, reflecting the compass of the Jordanian people.
Zain had previously launched a humanitarian donation campaign in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization on Friday. The campaign continues until the end of next Thursday, October 19. Zain subscribers interested in contributing can dial (#710*), and postpaid customers can choose the donation amount to be added to their bill. Prepaid customers can donate by entering the desired amount through the same menu, with the deducted sum from their available balance. The funds collected during this campaign will be directed to purchase and provide essential medical supplies, medicines, and basic provisions. The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization will deliver these supplies to the people in the Gaza Strip, contributing to the reconstruction efforts.
Zain has also provided all its subscribers, including individuals, companies, and prepaid users, with 1000 free calling minutes to connect with the Palestine mobile network. This initiative aims to enable Zain's customers to stay in constant communication with their loved ones in Palestine and support their resilience, especially in the current situation. Additionally, Zain organized an internal fundraising campaign among its employees to contribute to providing support for the people of Gaza.
