Amman, October 26, 2023: The value of donations collected through the "Gaza Together We Support: Shelter and Reconstruction" campaign, launched by the Higher Committee for Reconstruction in Palestine in collaboration with the Jordanian Engineers and Contractors Syndicates and Zain Cash, has reached JOD 500,000. The funds are allocated to provide relief and support the reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip, which has witnessed unprecedented destruction due to the recent aggressive attacks.
This campaign falls within the framework of the humanitarian and national duty towards the people in Gaza, who are facing crimes and atrocities. It aims to support their resilience against continuous aggression by contributing to shelter and reconstruction efforts, especially as the number of affected housing units has exceeded 181,000, including over 20,000 units completely demolished or rendered unfit for habitation by the occupation.
The campaign seeks to collect cash donations in solidarity with the people of Gaza. The Jordanian Engineers Syndicate has facilitated the donation process, allowing contributors to transfer funds via "Zain Cash" to the designated wallet named JEAGAZA. Additionally, individuals can make electronic payments through the Engineers Syndicate's website at https://www.jea.org.jo/Default/Ar. Moreover, cash deposits can be made at the Professional Unions Complex or any branch of the Engineers and Contractors Syndicates across the Kingdom.
The collaborative effort between Jordanian professionals and Zain Cash showcases the unity of the Jordanian community in supporting the Palestinian cause. The donated funds will contribute to rebuilding Gaza, demonstrating the unwavering commitment of Jordanians to stand with their Palestinian brothers and sisters in times of adversity.
