Amman, March 8, 2026:
As part of its charitable initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan, and in continuation of its ongoing support as a key contributor to the Jordanian Waqf Thareed Charity since its launch in 2022, Zain Jordan supported the Waqf’s efforts in distributing 1,400 meals to the Waqf’s guests at its headquarters located in Downtown Amman next to Al-Husseini Mosque.
A number of Zain employees also participated in volunteer activities at the Waqf’s location, contributing to the organization and distribution of the meals in support of its mission to provide hot, balanced meals served in a respectful manner that preserves the dignity of the Waqf’s guests.
Zain’s on-ground participation reflects the company’s commitment to translating its corporate social responsibility into practical initiatives that deliver direct and sustainable impact, particularly those that enhance food security and support underprivileged communities. It also highlights the company’s dedication to empowering its employees to engage in volunteer work and promoting a culture of corporate giving, thereby deepening the impact of its community programs and creating meaningful added value for society—especially during the holy month of Ramadan, when the values of solidarity and compassion are most evident.
Since the launch of the Waqf, Zain has taken the initiative to support it and contribute to its expansion to ensure its sustainability and extend its services to reach a larger number of beneficiaries, reflecting the company’s belief in the importance of collaboration between the private sector and charitable institutions to achieve sustainable social impact.
It is worth noting that Zain has launched several charitable initiatives in conjunction with the holy month, most notably its annual community solidarity initiative, through which the company distributed shopping vouchers redeemable at branches of the Military Consumer Corporation, in cooperation with several concerned entities, benefiting hundreds of families in need of support.
