Zain begins its winter campaign by aiding families in Gaza.

Amman, November 23, 2023: In line with Jordan's united stance, both leadership and citizens, in supporting Gaza residents, Zain Jordan has commenced its winter campaign, a yearly endeavor, by providing aid to families in Gaza. This aid involves supplying a truckload of winter covers (blankets) to be delivered in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization.

Zain and its employees continue their support initiatives towards Gaza's residents, initiated since the commencement of the devastating occupation aggression on the region. This commitment stems from a humanitarian and national duty to extend a helping hand and aid the people of Gaza. The objective is to alleviate the suffering of Gaza's residents, especially with the onset of winter, after they had to leave their homes amidst continuous bombardments.

Previously, Zain Jordan donated a sum of 100,000 Jordanian Dinars, while its subscribers contributed 9,024 Dinars, and the company's employees collectively donated 17,700 Dinars. This was to aid Gaza's residents, sending urgent humanitarian assistance, purchasing medicines and medical supplies for Palestinian hospitals, as well as providing food items in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization.

Additionally, Zain launched a series of initiatives to support the resilient Palestinian people in Gaza, expressing solidarity with them and standing by their side to reinforce their steadfastness and contribute to alleviating their situation. Zain offered all its individual and corporate postpaid and prepaid subscribers 1,000 free calling minutes to connect to the Palestine mobile network, enabling them to remain in constant contact with their loved ones in Palestine, assuring their well-being and supporting their resilience.

Furthermore, through its Zain Cash application, Zain, in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, allowed all its wallet users to make donations. Jordanians, both individuals and institutions, generously contributed to aid their brothers and sisters. The Supreme Committee for the Reconstruction of Palestine, comprised of the Engineers and Contractors' Syndicates, in collaboration with Zain Cash, launched the "Gaza Together: Shelter and Reconstruction" campaign. The donations reached a total of 500,000 Jordanian Dinars, earmarked to aid and rebuild the devastated Gaza Strip, witnessing unprecedented destruction due to the aggressive onslaught.

Symbolically and morally, Zain initiated a gesture by renaming its network to appear on its subscribers' phones as "GAZA," signifying honor and resilience. Additionally, the company organized a solidarity stand for its employees in front of its main building on King Abdullah II Street to support Gaza's resilience, including a minute of silence in tribute to the martyrs' souls.
