 Zain and LOYAC inaugurate Gilad Elementary Mixed School




Zain and LOYAC Jordan have launched the sixth edition of Al Balqa Homes ​2019, which aims to repair and restore public spaces in disadvantaged communities.

The Gilad Elementary Mixed School in Balqa Governorate was inaugurated after a number of LOYAC volunteers from Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon and Yemen repaired and rehabilitated the school and made the necessary maintenance to be ready to receive students by the beginning of the school year.
This step is part of Zain's continuous support to the educational process, enriching it, contributing to providing an environment and a suitable place for health education, in addition to its efforts to encourage youth entrepreneurship and empowerment, in line with the third objectives of "good health and well-being" and fourth "quality education". And 17, “Partnerships to Achieve Goals” are the Sustainable Development Goals launched by UNDP and implemented by Zain in its sustainability management programs.

The Homes program aims to instill the value of volunteerism among young people and thereby promote the spirit of participation, initiative and effective community service.It also seeks to develop the skills of youth and refine their personalities so that they can set their goals in life and unleash their creativity, and their quest for positive change in their communities, by involving young people. Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon and Kuwait have volunteered to renovate a public place in less fortunate areas. The LOYAC Foundation has been implementing the Homes program for six years in Jordan, Lebanon and Kuwait, and the LOYAC Foundation program is one of the core programs offered by LOYAC. 

During 2018, Zain and LOYAC Foundation repaired and restored the Othman Bin Affan Boys School, located in Jerash Governorate, which hosts 300 students from grades 1 to 10.
LOYAC is a non-profit organization that has been operating in Jordan since 2008, with the aim of enabling young people in the 16-24 age group to develop and hone their skills through training workshops and hands-on training in companies.
