Amman, October 27, 2025: As part of its ongoing strategic partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), and in line with its continuous efforts to support innovators, creators, and the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Jordan, Zain Jordan, through its Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC), sponsored the second edition of the Makers Forum this year as a strategic partner. The event was organized by the Crown Prince Foundation under its program “Makers Space”, and held at Al Hussein Cultural Center and Ras Al Ain Hangar.
Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) had a diverse participation in the second edition of the Makers Forum. One of the main highlights was a dedicated booth within the Innovation Exhibition, where a group of young innovators showcased five graduation projects specializing in textile manufacturing using digital fabrication technologies and tools. These innovators participated in the Fabriacademy and Fab Academy programs under the Makers Space initiative—both part of the global Fab Network, which includes over 1,500 digital fabrication labs across 90 countries worldwide. The participating innovators had previously received scholarships from Zain in July 2025 to join these programs.
ZINC also dedicated a special section for its “Dezain Space” program, which supports Jordanian designers. Fourteen local designers supported by Zain took part, displaying their creative works and products to visitors. This initiative aims to empower the local design sector and strengthen its presence in the Jordanian market.
Additionally, the ZINC team participated in the “Experts Corner” at the forum, where top mentors offered individual consulting sessions to participants. The team also took part in a panel discussion titled “Empowering the Future of Maker Communities in Jordan”, which brought together representatives from government institutions, investment funds, business incubators, and the private sector. The discussion addressed key challenges and future opportunities in the industrial entrepreneurship sector.
Zain’s sponsorship of this forum reflects its long-standing collaboration with the Crown Prince Foundation and its strong commitment to promoting the concept of entrepreneurship, and supporting innovators, entrepreneurs, and makers across the Kingdom through ZINC. The partnership also aligns with national efforts to enhance youth economic and social participation by fostering stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors. This year’s forum attracted over 4,200 visitors, including enthusiasts, innovators, and experts from various fields.
The forum also featured an interactive innovation and product exhibition, with participation from over 114 exhibitors, including university students, startups, and designers, providing a creative environment that encouraged innovation and knowledge exchange. The event concluded with the announcement of three winning innovative projects, selected through visitor voting.
Moreover, the forum showcased a range of success stories and experiences shared by local entrepreneurs and innovators through a series of knowledge sessions and discussions covering topics such as digital fabrication, technology, sustainability, localization of engineering expertise, investment, building global startups, drones, and medical solutions design. The event also hosted international speaker Daniel Ingrassia, who delivered inspiring insights on designing and building open-source manufacturing machines and developing advanced innovative tools to support makers and innovators around the world.
