Amman, September 18, 2025: The Minister of Labor and Chairman of the Board of the Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Khaled Al-Bakkaar, honored Zain Jordan in recognition of its support for the vocational training, employment, and youth empowerment sector. The honoring took place during a ceremony held at Amman Grand Hall in Al-Hussein Youth City, in the presence of the Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Al-Adwan, and the Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Ahmad Mufleh Al-Gharaibeh. The event coincided with the signing of a number of cooperation agreements with the Vocational Training Corporation, aimed at qualifying distinguished human resources to work in local, regional, and international markets, and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
The award, received by Tareq Bayouq, Chief Communications, Media, and Sustainability Officer at Zain Jordan, is a culmination of the strategic partnership between Zain and the Vocational Training Corporation that has extended since 2008. This partnership has resulted in the establishment of Zain training centers specializing in mobile phone maintenance, electronic gaming devices, fiber optic technology, in addition to Zain customer service call centers spread across several governorates of the Kingdom.
Zain expressed its appreciation for this recognition and its pride in the 17-year-long partnership with the Vocational Training Corporation, which has yielded remarkable success stories for thousands of Jordanian youth. The company reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its pioneering role in corporate social responsibility and supporting the Kingdom’s development journey, driven by its belief in the importance of empowering youth and preparing them to enter the job market.
Zain’s initiatives have contributed to providing high-quality training opportunities for young men and women in line with the evolving labor market requirements. Its training centers cover mobile phone maintenance, electronic gaming devices, and fiber optic technology, located in Vocational Training Corporation branches in Zarqa, Tafileh, Karak, Salt, and its center in Irbid–Hakama in cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation’s Advanced Vocational Training College, in addition to its center in Wadi Seer Training College – UNRWA for Palestinian Refugees, as well as customer service call centers in Tafileh, Jerash, Ajloun, Deir Alla, Ma’an, Madaba, and Salt.
So far, the number of graduates from Zain centers within the Corporation’s institutes has exceeded 1,500 (1,179 males and 388 females) with an employment rate of 60%. The total number of graduates from all Zain centers across the Kingdom has surpassed 2,000 young men and women. Many of them currently work in mobile phone maintenance centers, while others have launched their own businesses that provide them with a stable income and created additional job opportunities for other youth. Meanwhile, Zain’s customer service call centers have so far provided 105 permanent jobs for young men and women in the governorates where they are located.
Through its longstanding partnership with the Vocational Training Corporation, Zain is keen to reinforce its contribution to achieving the sustainable development goals by investing in human potential and preparing qualified cadres to help develop the national economy and meet the needs of various sectors.
Zain reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to supporting Jordanian youth through training and employment programs, investing in their future, enabling them to build sustainable career paths that improve their quality of life, enhance their active role in serving the community, and contribute to preparing a new generation of national talent capable of competing across sectors and participating in building a stronger and more sustainable national economy.
