 Memorandum of Understanding between Crown Prince Foundation and Zain




The Crown Prince Foundation  signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zain, which provides financial support to the Masar initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation aimed at launching the first Jordanian micro-satellite.
The agreement was signed by Acting Executive Director Noor Abu Ragheb and Zain CEO Ahmed Al-Hanandah.
The mission of the moon, which was designed and installed by young Jordanians, will be named JY1-SAT, which will broadcast pictures of Jordan's tourism and heritage sites, wireless communication with ground stations around the world, and many research and training purposes.
The initiative was initiated by the first Jordanian students trained by NASA, who transferred the knowledge and science they received to the entire EITI team, which demonstrates the organization's philosophy of providing young people with access to knowledge, focusing on the element of giving and sharing. Knowledge and develop pioneering ideas and initiatives that support their communities and their homeland.
For her part, Abu Ragheb thanked Zain for its support and said: "This work partnership represents an example of joint work between development institutions and private sector companies, in a way that supports Jordanian youth and works to overcome obstacles to them. "Masdar's initiative is part of the strategy of the Crown Prince's Foundation. Through our focus on this theme, we aim to enhance Jordanian youth skills and motivate them to innovate and lead."

It is worth mentioning that the launch of the Jordanian satellite will be in the first half of this year. It was implemented by 17 students from various engineering faculties in the Jordanian universities and a committee of academics and consultants.
