While maintaining their existing numbers
Amman, 29 March, 2008; Zain, part of the Zain Group, the leading mobile operator in the Middle East and Africa, launched the new "Zain 5" offer for pre-paid subscribers through which the company offers free calls for its customers.
With the offer, Zain's customers, who constitute the largest base in the country, can call five Zain numbers of their choice, free of charge, at anytime, day and night.
As of last Wednesday, customers were able to switch to the new offer by dialing #115*, without the need to visit Zain's shops or any of its dealers. Customers were also able to keep their same number without the need to buy a new one. The offer will also be available to all current and future pre-paid customers.
Zain's CEO Saad Nasir said that the new service coincides with the general increase in prices of most services and products in a country. He added that the offer comes as a way of support for customers who are facing the economic burden which has increased in recent months.
Nasir added that Zain invests million of Dinars every year in order to develop and expand its network, noting that the company's network enjoys the best capacity in the kingdom, enabling it to adapt to the vast number of calls and volume of traffic experienced on the network since the launch of the new offer. The network will be able to host millions of calls and text messages in one day.
Nasir further noted that Zain customers will soon be witnessing more special offers promised by the company during launch of its new brand six months ago. The offers to be launched will be based on maximizing the value offered for customers. This comes with the increased dependence on mobile phones through which they now became an important tool used by customers to facilitate their daily lives and minimize the time and effort of customers who are continuously on the go.
