Amman, June 16, 2008; Zain, part of the Zain group, the leading mobile operator in the Middle East and Africa, has renewed its cooperation with the pharmaceutical syndicate in Jordan. The agreement entails that the company provides the syndicate with special offers for the syndicates’ designated lines for the coming two years.

Signing the agreement was Zain’s CEO Dr. Ahmad Al Shatti and head of Jordan’s pharmaceutical Syndicate Dr. Taher Al Shakhsheer. The agreement ensures partnership between both parties and reflects the Zain’s commitment towards supporting the health sector in Jordan.

Dr. Al Shakhsheer expressed his pride and gratitude towards Zain’s support of national development, particularly the health sector which is considered to be the main constituent of Jordan’s national development.

On the occasion, Dr. Al Shatti said: “Zain is committed to supporting the health sector in Jordan, whether through launching or participating in direct initiatives that focus on supporting the sector, such as the five year long cooperation with Al Hussein Cancer Center, or through offering special services to members working within this sector”. Al Shatti added that the company is keen on providing its customers with special offers and packages that correspond to the needs of its different customer base.

Al Shatti further noted that Zain values the important role undertaken by the syndicate in developing the health sector, adding that renewing the agreement is a reflection of the company’s appreciation of the syndicate’s efforts in supporting its local community.
